Highway 5 located in Lynn, AL sure has its share of creepy accounts.  According to local folklore, many years ago on a dark and rainy night, a local teenage girl was on her way home from prom.  She was riding in the passenger’s seat of her boyfriends car when they got in an argument.  After arguing most of the ride home she asked him to stop and let her out.  The boyfriend did exactly as she asked and she began to walk the remainder of the journey home in the rain. She never made it home.

While walking along Highway 5, she was struck by an 18-wheeler.  The driver of the truck fled the scene and the next morning her remains were found in a ditch on the side of Highway 5.

Rumor has it that her ghost haunts Highway 5 on rainy nights, searching for the truck driver that killed her.  During her search, she has been reported to bang on truck doors and step up on to the side of trucks – peering into the windows to get a look at the driver.

Many truckers actually bypass this road all together in an attempt to avoid running into her ghost. Many truckers have admitted that it is an extremely eerie drive, especially when it is raining.
